We all have different ideas of what midbass is. To me it's feeling a kick drum. To others I'm sure it's way less.

But no these do not bandpass the mid. None do as far as I know, maybe the focal Kit line but that's not a normal crossover.

So since you didn't even know that I doubt you know wtf you are talking about

That crossover is a high low around 3-4 k....not 145hz.

Im only giving my opinion towards the mid bass, but then again i never stated i knew everything.

Ive never personally used the supplied crossovers other then to test the speakers when i got them.

Ive crossed the mids in so many ways that in the end i cut the mid bass just enough to get actual good output.

I have the polk db6501 model down from what you were looking at and i love them so im assuming the next model up should be great

I installed my JBL p660c along with a set of P662 for rear fill and i'm pretty happy with it. Bass is great, mids and highs are exceptional compared to my factory setup. I recommend these speakers. Mind you i'm no audiophile, but it sounds great. I took a quick video and threw it up on youtube. Of course the MIC of my digital camera is terrible.

I also do not have a subwoofer.
