I am trying to upgrade the stereo in my 2013 Chevy Volt. It has a factory bose system that uses 2 ohm midbass speakers in the doors and 4 ohm tweeters. I have already upgraded the tweeters with some tymphanys and now I am looking to do the midbass. Seems like most midbass speakers I am finding are 4 ohms and as I don't know the efficiency of the factory speakers so I am worried that I am going to end up with too quiet midbass speakers if I don't use 2 ohm. So basically I am looking for a good pair of 2 ohm midbass speakers that I can run off of the factory bose amp in my car. If I have to buy a set of components just for the midbass drivers then so be it. I'm sure I can find a use for the tweeters down the road.
