Not enough power.it is going to a a new box. The amp is currently in 2 ch mode. I cranked the system yesterday to my "Ear defining" levels inside the car and then opened the trunk to see what the movement of the sub, its barely moving by my standards.
wait till you see how drastic the output drop is. A 12 is roughly equal to 2 8s and a bit more in terms of cone area. the E8 is not beefier by any means and the power fed is the same. You can expect a huge drop in output.I was not asking the sub to do more, I do not require a lot of SPL....... for now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
its probably within specs, The box looks big due to a good amount of port area most likely. Drives the gross cubic feet up high but the net cubic feet is the same.i checked the specs for the e8, it says 0.5 to 0.75 for a ported box. how come i see e8 on larger boxes on Youtube ?
I want to maximize a certain space in my trunk. roughly 32 long x 6-8 inch depth x 15 inch high. It might be slanted at the back. but i want it as thin as possible...So I'm confused as hell. I thought you wanted as small as possible. Now you want as big as possible. If that's the case then keep the JBL and get a decent amp.
