It probably sounds good yeah. I mean the Sony P5 really doesn't have SQ and was not made for it. Another reason his sony sounded bad is he bought a 15" sony P5 like I said not to do, wouldn't trust those. The 12's are a different story though.

You heard a 15" Sony P5 they **** very sloppy. The 12's will kill that JBL Gt in SPL on anyday. Your friends all bash Sony because they have either done horrible installs like most of you kids do or they have never heard them. Sorry I bet you would of been more happier with a 12" Sony P5 ported guarenteed but no. Have fun kid! :blow_up:

I have heard alot more Sony's most likely then you boys. I have done so many and thought the same way about them *******. If they are ported and done nicely and powered right they sound very loud for what they are.

Have you ever seen the Powered 4 Sound videos? Like the 6.5's?

Dude I bet you anything I know alot more then your bro and cous put together. :hilarious I know that Sony isn't a brand name or a hit with people. For a fact though it will beat a JBL Gt, it has more power and more xmax and xsus.

i ahve the 10" p5's and they are not THAT bad but they aint nothin to get excited about. they dont have the best sq but they do get decently loud. as far as reliability i havent had a problem with them at all

Like I said I have heard the JBL, it had great SQ I will admit that but it wasn't loud to me. The Sony is for SPL applications because it doesn't really have Sq at all.

Because the name!! Do you not understand, if they had say Image dynamics, rockford fosgate, etc name on them people would buy them. Since they have the Sony name it gives them a bad rep around everywhere. People don't like sony simple as that.. Those Sony's sell alot i know for a fact because every store here sells out of them. They are good for the money, and give a good bang for the buck. If you don't believe me read some ratings at sounddomain about them. Their is like 3 bad ratings out of like 60.

well,one more thing pal.Those who have 2 sony's subs.They rate it good. But there is very few who had SINGLE sony's P5,and they rate it a little bit less .
