This amp is THE bang for the buck. No sub sonic filter??

But these days i cant even find them for as cheap as they used to be. forget ebay!!.

Any of you know where i can buy this 250-300.

This amp does WRECK up the block.

i sold mine!!

What do you think about this amp. U heard this animal before?

I've heard them, its just an amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/imdaman.gif.bc6c552e19aa4ad8c47461144f40eb1a.gif

Good bang for the buck, yes. Reliable?. I've heard lots of good things and lots of bad things. I'd go for a Hifonics Brutus 1000.1 if I was looking for an amp in that power range. They usually go for around $250.

I own one, have never had a problem with it. As for the clipping, thats never been an issue with me. I went to yahoo and typed it in under shopping. then i found the cheapist and did a price match to another website. Got it for 256 after shipping.

Edit: yeah no ssf, sorta sucks but oh well. jsut be careful not to play below your tuning if youre ported and youre fine.

I used to run the 600.1 (which is a smaller version of the 1200.1) to a pair of type r's and it was awesome. I got it very cheap and never had problems with it. In fact it was my first install and i wired my 2 2ohm subs at a .5 load and it handled that load for 4 months until i left my back window cracked during a storm. Never had problems with it and i miss it alot. Im sure the 1200.1 is just as reliable as the 600.1

i've installed two JBL BP series amps - a 1200.1 and a 300.1 - both are excellent, cheap sources of power, just quite difficult to calibrate and get everything working right. When you're upside down in somebody's trunk with a Mag Lite between your teeth, those tiny little gain and x-over controls become very annoying //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif my Tantrum's knobs are much easier to deal with.

had a 1200.1 for a good 6 months running at 1 ohm, never a single problem, and the clipping problem is not true at all. the gain and crossover could be better, but its overall a great amp with tons of power for the money.
