JBL BP1200.1 and the alternator

ok so i have a stock 70 amp alt in my civic. im looking at the JBL BP1200.1 and im wondering if this amp draws out a lot of current or not. if so do i need a new alt.? and what is its rating at 12V? thanks

you might me able to pull it off, theirs no 1 that can tell best but you, only way to find out is trying it. i think u will get by, just make sure u do the big 3.

do you know anything about nakamichi? i heard that they are highly underated amps and the current used is minimal. yet it still does around 800-1k watts. mebe i should just save up.

According to the specs from this pdf file ( http://manuals.harman.com/JBL/CAR/Owner%27s%20Manual/bp_om.pdf ), max current draw is 114amps :|

your be ok just use 4 gauge power and ground wires I had a jbl 1200.1 running off my old 55 amp alty in my 73 buick The amp only cut off once due to me pouding for hours.
