Has anybody ever heard it?

I cant find info about it anywhere on the net!

I only know that it's 18'' and that it has sensibilty of 97 DB..

What is his ''rms power'',in other words.. Can it go loud?

I have a MB RAA2400 amplifier 800+rms @4ohms

I'm not sure if youre still looking for an answer:

but I own (2) JBL 1800GTi's .. i bought them in the mid/early 90's .. I have the spec sheet somewhere, but I do remember they had a really high sensitivty of 97 or 98 dB .. I installed them in an enclosure with (2) 6" ports tuned to about 35 Hz, and used them for DJ'ing for many years .. they push a lot of air and got very loud and very deep .. if i remember correctly, "1000 watts" was labeled on the cone, but they "only" had a 600 watt RMS rating at 4 ohms .. i pushed them hard with 1,200 watts RMS per channel for DJing, and they thumped really hard .. the 1800GTi's used the JBL 2241 magnet and frame (pro/PA application), i've reconed them with 2241's ..

What is a SR-oriented speaker?

And that sensitivity value doesn't necessarily mean anything without knowing any of the other parameters, so do not ever use it as an indication as to how "loud" something will get. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I believe the "SR" was in reference to the JBL Professional series of portable speakers. I also heard that the GTi series was based on JBL's Professional series, but I don't know if that was true.

My apologies, the sensitivity was the published 1 watt at 1 meter number. Also, I realize I didn't specify other parameters (wattage, frequency range, SPL and distance measured), it was just a general comment on my part, based on other 18" subwoofers I tried back then (+15 yrs ago). I made vented and 6th order bandpass enclosures optimized from the different T.S. parameters of the speakers, and the JBL's had the highest measured SPL from 20Hz to 60Hz +/- 3dB (the range I was looking for). Sorry for the confusion.
