Assuming so, 2 8 ohm subs wired in parallel will create a 2 ohm load. Also (again correct me if I'm wrong) 2 DVC subs wired in series would create a 2 ohm load on that amp.

U Unregistered Guest Mar 7, 2002 #3 no, 2 8 ohm subs create a 4 ohm load, and 2 dvc subs @ 4 ohms per coil can only be wired at a 4ohm or 1 ohm, and yes that amp is stable at 2 ohms

U Unregistered Guest Mar 8, 2002 #4 snapnakk--on the jbl 1200.1 there are two sets of speaker outputs one is a copy cat of the other for ease of speaker instlation . you can wire a 2 ohm sub on each speaker channel and each sub would get 600 watts( per sub) for a total of 1200 watts.
