jbl 1200.1 hook-up

with a jbl 1200.1 amp is there a way to wire them to 2 speakers at 2 ohms and it still be stable. Or can you only hook up to one or a mono in-put.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the JBL 1200.1 has one mono output, correct? Assuming so, 2 8 ohm subs wired in parallel will create a 2 ohm load. Also (again correct me if I'm wrong) 2 DVC subs wired in series would create a 2 ohm load on that amp.

no, 2 8 ohm subs create a 4 ohm load, and 2 dvc subs @ 4 ohms per coil can only be wired at a 4ohm or 1 ohm, and yes that amp is stable at 2 ohms

snapnakk--on the jbl 1200.1

there are two sets of speaker outputs

one is a copy cat of the other for ease

of speaker instlation . you can wire

a 2 ohm sub on each speaker channel

and each sub would get 600 watts( per sub)

for a total of 1200 watts.

UNLESS YOU WIRE 2DVC SUBS FOR 2 OHMS THEN YOU WILL GET 1200 WATTS PER SIDE
