JBL 1200.1 fried?!

Indeed, this is quite serious. First the Perfects, now this? At the moment I have no subs to test on, but I let my friend borrow my amplifier, and he claims he put the positive power wire in to the negative terminal, and vice versa. Will a fuse protect the amp if this scenario happened? He says he can't get sound out of it.. I'm hella scared. Welp.

iwould check all the internal fuses to make sure none are blown....i would think there would be a fuse that would protect that.....or somthing to show that they are wired wrong.....

if he did that and a fuse didn't blow, i think he woulda figured it out b/c it would've sat there and threw sparks everywhere

Yeah I did that stupidly once, just check the external fuses and then pop the top and check the internal ones.

I did that to my JBL once. Just popped all 3 fuses. No biggy.
