I'm trying to cut a hole for my 6.5's . I used the 6 mark and then went counter clockwise to 1/2 and I have a hole that my 6.5's will fit in ALL the way //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

What am I doing wrong?

I can't remember for sure but, I seem to recall that the markings on the jig ore for cutting a circle of the given diameter, not a hole. Since you are (or should be) using a 1/4" bit, the extra 1/2" is the diameter of the bit x2. When cutting holes you have to account for the bit.
