I've got $400, need suggestions.

Im not really interested in buying from a private seller guys. Thanks anyways.
The SX 12s reccomended box is 2 ft at 33hz.

Quick question...

IF the sub calls for 2 cubes ported, would I have to double the box size for 2 of them, considering there is no divider in between the subs?
Yes, you also have to add in port and woofer displacement.

So 2 cubes is 2 + .15 + .58 @ 32.5 sq inches of port area, so 2 cubes ballons to almost 3 cubes for each 12.

So it looks like Im stuck with going sealed? The exact size of the box was 2.347 cubes. I couldnt even do one SX12, or some other sub with similar specs? The exact measurements of the box I wanna build is 15" height x 56" long x 9" bottom depth x 6" top depth.

I designed the box using RE's box calculator.

I suppose I could remove my center consle and move my seats up a few more inches to gain some box depth. Though losing leg space and being 6'3" sucks.

I say two 10" sx. seems like you have sufficient air space for them and more cone area vs. 1 12"

You cannot leave the port width to the default 1.5", the speaker need's more.

Also, I do not trust the re calculator for building angled boxes. But that's just

me. So you could do the SX12, it will be in the "compact" range of that speaker's

specs if the box is built right.

And to top it all off 2 IDQ's sealed in that airspace will sound devine.

v3's

I went a re-measured the space my box is going in and moved my seats to where I could get more space and still be comfortable. I came up with 56" long x 15" high x 8.5" top depth x 10.5" bottom depth and it gave me 3.003 box space with a 2.5" x4.5" port length (tuned to 39hz).

Does that give me any more options? Like I said I've got 1000w rms at 1ohm to work with.

i'd never tune that high for daily though.

Yeah, 35Hz and 33.75 sqin of port area is fine if the "box volume (ft3)" says 2.1 or so.

I still say go with two idQv3 12's sealed.
