Alright, I've got right at 2 cubes of box space and 6 3/4" mounting depth to work with to work with, and a Planet Audio RXD 1350 amp. (1000w rms at 1ohm) I plan on upgrading the amp later on. I have a single cab 2004 Chevy Silverado. I want an SQL setup. I want something thats going to get loud as hell, but still sound pretty good doing it. I listen mainly to rap, with the occaional rock/metal. I currently have two Kicker CVR 12s and Im not impressed. I've been looking at the RE SX 12.

What sub would yall suggest and what box tuning?

that's not enough space for the vent to breathe, the sub's mounting depth is 6.5", that would only leave you .25" from the vent to bottom of box. maybe 1 10" or two beefy 8's.

2 8 inch kicker L7's would get pretty loud.

Lets see, my box is going to be 15" tall x 6" top depth x 9" bottom depth. I was guesstimating the mounting depth. Im actualy looking at about 7 3/4", so I figured a sub with 6 3/4" mounting depth would be fine.

I want to go ported and I noticed that they dont give any reccomended ported box specs on the SI sub. IS it not meant to be ported?

Sealed 12's is the way to go with 2 cubic feet to play with.

si mag's are d2, that won't really work with your amp.

AP epic 12's

or

idq 12's

will both work.

The SX 12s reccomended box is 2 ft at 33hz.

Quick question...

IF the sub calls for 2 cubes ported, would I have to double the box size for 2 of them, considering there is no divider in between the subs?
