I've done sealed , ported now i wanna try aero's.

Alright guy's i got two audiopipe 15s and i wanna build em a new box instead of going ported though i still wanna go sub's up. But instead of doing port back i wanna run aero-ports. Any suggestions on what type of tuning i should do & how many aero's i should do ? also this is going in a 1993 ford explorer. I appericate the help thx guys.

aeroports are real easy to use as long as you calculate all your volumes correctly (like volume taken up by ports, etc.). is this pure SPL or just streetbeat? if its SPL I'd do 2 6" ports per sub (that'd be 4 total). They would be long as hell, but get so loud. If you're doing streetbeat do 1 6" per sub or 2 4" per sub.

It's still a daily driver but as far as bass goes anyway's i usually listen to bass tones , techno , rap & if it's not them i just turn off the sub's but my number with them in a ported box. I did a 140.3 i know can get em louder in a diffrent enclosure for sure. Anyone know if ionsql is still designing box plans?

Tuning stay the same. For the 15's i would at least do 1 six inch, or a pair of four inch. I would probably run 4 4 inch Aeros and tune to 32-33hz

here's an example of the impact the aeros SHOULD make. I ran a crystal compx2 15" slot ported and did 150 inside the port. I next ran a 12L7 with 2 4" aeros and did 156 inside the port. That's a big difference don't you think :wink:

thegreatest penn appericate all your help man what do u think the best setup would be man. Also linger as in bass tones meant like bass mekanik not actual sweeps and hz tones lol.

In all honesty I think the only difference you will see is a bit more room to play with and a cleaner look overall. Some say aeros sound better too, but it's all up to you on sound. But aeros will take up less external space so you can make up for the space they take up with a bigger box. Also they look a bit cleaner if they are internal aeros IMO.
