I've been told I'm maybe not making the right sub choice.

your just asking for too much... you can't want 150+ and want to save room. Not sure if its a trunk car but if it is, hitting 150 will take virtually all usable space in your trunk.
I would do a pair of badass 10's on lots of power.
y do you recommend 10's? will that help reach higher db's?

How much room do you have available? Just the wheel well? 1 cu.ft. maybe? 1.5 cu.ft.? Well, it won't be all that much, especially for a larger subwoofer. If you do end up shoving a large box woofer in there, don't expect any form of music out of it. The thing will very very peaky, very constrained, and just be a one note wonder.

Good output and low frequency extension comes from a properly built box. Sealed, you will need a very high excursion woofer. For something that works in a very small enclosure, I think DIYMA. It would be impossible for you to bottom out that woofer with the power you have. I just don't like suggesting it to people who might not take proper care of it. The design of the sub is that of a very light cone paired to a very powerful motor. In the wrong hands, the motor can literally tear itself from the cone. It's a good approach for SQ, but a poor one for providing a piece of hardware for the average Joe as it will not take kindly to abuse.

Second, I think ported. This gets you around the need for high excursion as the port will limit that need. For small box subs, I think Dayton Reference series HO, like their 12". It will work in a pretty small 1.3 cu.ft. ported and will get you down to 30Hz pretty easily. It will also handle the 750w your amp will output(4ohm sub) and get pretty loud doing so. This is the sub I would suggest for you.

post closed due to I bought a IDMAX 12 woofer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

great choice //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

if you're not gonna compete, you don't need to worry about numbers.
