Type R's of course, but they are a damm good sub. I hear alot around here about the audio assasins. Seriously going to try to get a pair by the ealy part of the fall. IDMAX, RE, but you already have those...Some people have been raving about the kicker solobarics at work but I have yet to hear one or know anybody that has one. also on a smaller level Rl-i 8s, newest L7s, etc..

hard to say whats louder than an sx with equal power (those are pretty loud woofers in that power range), though people have said they got Rs louder off the same power. im sure there are others.. i think after 1000 rms then MTs are actually louder.. may be wrong though

MT's are pretty efficient actually, but I really don't think an 18"MT could get louder than my 18"SX off 1200w.
