I don't think internet-based companies is what the thread starter was referring to //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Moreso internet retailers and
ebay auctions.
Though I do agree with your product availability statement....your example just sucked with regard to the original intent of the thread //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif
For example...I was looking to purchase an Alpine 9860...nothing fancy or exotic...a nice headunit from a "mainstream" manufacturer, of which there are multiple dealers in my area.
Called every dealer within a reasonable driving distance of my area....none of them had any, could find the price of one, or even had any idea what it was.
So, called a dealer in another state that I somewhat know a guy at. Exact same scenario. None in stock, couldn't even tell me the price, and had no idea what it even was.
So, turned to an e-friend who owns a shop and was awesome enough to find it for me and sell it to me at a good price. Had it not been for this e-friend, my only resort for purchasing a relatively "standard" product from a mainstream brand would have been internet websites/
ebay.
