its been coming for about 2000 years. every religious group discounts every other and says that they're the true believers. they'll discount every other god but can't seem to understand why people would discount theirs.

pot keeps coming to my door spreading anti kettle propaganda and trying to convert me.

i think that if christ were to come back today, all of you that sit and wait and preach and judge would be the first to pin him back up, chastise him, and call him a fraud.

Some people are too anxious to find evil to see good and truth when it's presented to them.

to the OP... believe in what exactly? Your question was kind of scattered and vague.

i'm curious as to how people can attach to a certain faith just because they were born into it and not have any questions. As if they really expect that they were delivered into the truth from childhood. Even when their own religion teaches them to be 'objective' and seek the truth.... they just make excuses to be complacent yet preach the exact opposite. There are children that tell me they were saved when they were 5 yearsold or some nonsense like that.... saved from what? What were you delivered from? Playing doctor? Parents do such disservices to their children by grooming them to be ignorant and figure out which beliefs make sense to them.

while i see where you are coming from and agree somewhat. your example is not true for everyone. take me for example, i was raised in a household where my parents never took me to church never told me anything about Christianity or any other religion. I found God on my own, and in "seeking the truth" i found it. and along with other situations inmy life have made me the man I am today.

i always say, i'd rather believe in God and be wrong than not believe and be wrong.
