standing 20 minutes in a line to buy some chips and a soda is definitely not me being in a rush. They should impose a $5 fee for every check you write or some shit, they really are an antiquated way to making payment that slows down everyone.
I think the bigger problem is really why are we in such a rush all the time //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
Checks are still largely used in b2b transactions. They should impose a $5 fee for every check you write or some shit, they really are an antiquated way to making payment that slows down everyone.

Only time I did this was rent when I was in the military. Just put a check in each envelope and gave the envelopes to the management company. Therefor my rent was never late.the only thing i use checks for is to pay bills.
word debit is the shit, swipe and go. those check card commercials are the truth.I've only written a check once or twice in the 6 years I've had an account and that was just for bills(until i started using the online bill pay) I love my debit card. I used it so much it cracked right along the line of the magnetic strip, worked fine still. Then the other side broke too, so only the middle was holding it together lol. Got my shiney new one this week //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
I havent bought a stamp since 2001. I was in basic training.I haven't written a check and have only bought one stamp in probably a year.
x2. This may be a dumb question, but why is it that when I pay for something the money goes out instantly, but when I'm depositing it takes days?I usually buy a money order with my debit card at walmart and use that to pay rent. Pretty bloodless.
But im moving to a new house next week, and the landlord only accepts personal checks. Kinda weird, but whatever. I hate the fact that the money isnt taken out of my account instantly. I want to see the instant change in my bank account, and when I have a check out it realllllly bugs me.
im thinking.....pompass arrogant bank assholes?x2. This may be a dumb question, but why is it that when I pay for something the money goes out instantly, but when I'm depositing it takes days?
Cash usually credits to your account instantly.x2. This may be a dumb question, but why is it that when I pay for something the money goes out instantly, but when I'm depositing it takes days?
aha! that makes sense. thanksCash usually credits to your account instantly.
Checks take some time if you don't have enough to clear the check in your account. Out of state checks take a week to fully clear.
