Im convinced people that use checks at grocery stores and such, really dont have the money and are just bouncing checks left and right.

I don't think my parents use them at grocery stores (I believe that they pay in cash), but they do not use debit cards. My mother didn't even know what a debit card was. They're old school.

My father sits there once a month and does all of the bills, I told him to just sign up online and do online payments with his bank, he doesn't want to.

Guess it's a generational thing.

EDIT: And my parents are pretty well-off. They both do very well for themselves.

A lot of places that take checks still, actually run the check right then and it tells them if it will go thru or not. Almost like a debt card. I know at the targets down here they just give you the check back after they run it.

I've only written a check once or twice in the 6 years I've had an account and that was just for bills(until i started using the online bill pay) I love my debit card. I used it so much it cracked right along the line of the magnetic strip, worked fine still. Then the other side broke too, so only the middle was holding it together lol.
