some of it that has to do with components on the boards, the boards themselves, and some of it has to do with name recognition... but not much

Then you have to factor in...

Where its made; not as simple as saying "oh its made in china"..its just like america, if you want a better product, you pay them more money. Its that simple.

Where soft parts are from; same as above. No matter where its from, if you want it to be "good" your gonna pay for it.

Where hard parts are from; " " "

Plus logistics..marketing etc and other over-head costs..

Lots go into pricing.

The amp itself gets its value from so many different factors.

Amen to that, hell I was first cutting my teeth in the audio business back in the mid-80's when this was the norm....

I'm sick of people crying about prices being too high on this and I can get it cheaper over here....if that's the cause then just go do it and be happy with your choice. All this goes back simply to "The Race To Zero" and it effects d*mn near everything we purchase, especially in the caraudio field.

We as consumers are constantly wanting the BEST PRODUCTS, with the BEST QUALITY, for "THE BEST PRICE" ie CHEAPER than the next guy sells it for. Ok here comes the problem, at the same time we also want the HIGHEST PAY for the work we do even when that job may not be one that justifies that type of pay. Now what are manufactures to do???? They have consumers wanting more for a lot less, they have employees that are demanding better pay and they are also seeing their profit margins shrinking due to this. If they want to stay in business that have to try and meet the consumer demand somehow, well hells bells something has got to given...guess what it was???? That's right, they cut their work force and moved manufacturing over seas where the labor is dirt cheap in turn doing away with the largest burden on their overhead. Ok now they can deliever what the consumer wants....but guess what, the consumer still isn't happy cause they want it cheaper with each new year, so now quality is starting to suffer a little but yet the consumer still wants MORE POWER for less and on top of all that the consumer starts to bit*h cause the product ISN'T MADE IN AMERICA!!!! Ok so now some manufactures still try to comprimise and design and assemble the product here in the good ole USA but use parts that are built over seas, and holy crap you STILL have pricks that aren't happy.

Now mind you these same people that are out there b*tching and moaning cause they want the products CHEAPER, MORE POWERFUL, TOP NOTCH QUALITY, and MADE IN THE USA are STILL DEMANDING top notch pay!!!!!! At what point is the consumer gonna be happy??? I'll tell ya, when they can get the product for the exact same price the manufacture puts into it!!! If that's what they want then they should invest the capital to start their own company, then they can have it at cost.....but wait a minute....now they've got to now recoup all the capital they've invested, so how are they gonna do that...sh*t now I've got to try and sale this product that I've created and at a profit to pay the bills and keep the lights on and make a decent living......ALL HELL I'VE JUST STARTED THE CIRCLE COMPLETELY OVER and I'm now the manufacture....so how long will it take for another "me" to put me out of business!!!!!!

Think about it people....get real with the things you ask for.....
