Issues installing HU in Expedition

I'm having issues installing a HU in an expedition right now, the factory wiring (which seems like its not actually factory, but has been messed with before), doesn't match up to what online diagrams/harnesses have for it. So I went through doing it by hand, first trying to get power and finally got all the power cables hooked up, now I'm trying to get the speaker wires hooked up (he's not amping anything but his sub), and I can't seem to find any pair of wires coming from the 'factory harness' that go to any speaker. Is it possible that none of the wires going to the original HU go to the original speakers? im actually considering it...just letting them deal with it...this is teh gay...I'm going through the exact same process I had to go through with my car when I replaced the already aftermarket HU (because someone installed that wrong and fvcked up the wiring which I had to deal with), but I'm not finding any wires that go to the speakers of this car...

have you found a factory amp wire?? tried powering it up??? you might not find speaker wires if that truck has a factory amp. You might only have access to the speaker wires at the amp.

Okay so there's an amp by the factory sub. There are two slightly thicker cables which I assume are power, and they read +12 across them, then there are two wires going to the factory sub, and three other wires going into the factory amp from the front of the car. I assume these are a remote turn on wire, and a single channel of input signal, so I don't see how this could affect the other 4 speakers in any way

Is there a possibility there's another amp somewhere for the fronts? If so, where exactly? I'm not seeing it

Okay well...looks like I'm gonna either just run new wires to the speakers...or hopefully convince him to buy an amp for them...

The factory harness I got for my Acura turned on the Bose amp in my ride and it played fine. I just couldn't turn my volume up much past 10 on my Alpine because it started to distort. I don't think they like that much power coming in.
