My front speakers werent working right and were poppy and fuzzy and most of the time werent working . I replaced the speakers with kenwood ones it was working at first then the same thing happened. I rewired the speakers from the amp to receiver to see if it was the amp. they started work but the left side was quieter then the right We took the harness for the speaker off and hooked the speaker wire to the main wire directly skipping the harness then it worked fine,so I just cut the rusted clips of the harness and soldered on new ones that came with the speakers and they worked . Today the same thing was happening so I replaced the receiver with a double din kenwood one so far all the speakers sound better but the left one is still 2-3 db quieter the the right and sounds alittle muddy compared to the right side and not as bright. I just remembered that theres a separate tweeter on the right side and the one on the left side was removed because the wire was ripped of at the tweeter.
Is the reason for the right side being slightly louder and brighter because of the tweeter or something else?
