is this wired right?

each channel would run at four ohms. but its a lot more tricky to set up than you think. each channel has to be sending the exact same signal out and the exact same amount of voltage out.

you need to use Y adapters and a DMM to set the gains correctly.

Why do you not want to bridge it? It would be far better to bridge the amp to 2 channels and run each sub off of its own channel. If you are concerned about the amp running too hot or something you could wire the voice coils in series. Running coils off of seperate channels is just a bad idea. You gain nothing and risk damaging your sub, or at least, getting decreased performance.

i was told that 2 dual 4 ohms subs would run the amp under 4ohms.thats why i didn't want to bridge it unless there's a better way

If he bridges the amp to 2 mono channels then most likely it'll only be stable at 4 Ohms/Ch (as are most 4ch amps when bridged) He can't make a 4 Ohm load with a single Dual 4 Ohm sub.

wlmrs~

Do you already have either the amp or the subs? If you have one or the other but not both this is easily salvageable.

If you have the subs (and they are both dual 4 Ohm configured) but not the amp, get a 2ch or mono amp instead of a 4ch unit. It'll make wiring much easier.

If you already have the amp but not the subs get single 4 Ohm or dual 2 Ohm drivers rather than dual 4 Ohm.

If you already have both it can be wired a single coil to a single channel. The problem is getting the outputs of each individual channel matched almost exactly with all three others. A mismatched input can cause premature voice coil failure of one or both coils and that never makes anyone happy.
