I am very new to ths entire car audio scene, and especially amplifiers. That said, I recently bought a pair of Alpine Type-R components and a pair of the Type-R coaxials. These are the models that take 70RMS and 50RMS, respectively. I have an amp also that puts out 60RMS for four channels, and I was wondering if that is too much power for the coxials? Thanks for the help.

OK, good thanks. One last question...what kind of installation kit should i get, as in size and expected prices, etc. Thanks again

Thanks for all th input. As far as the RCA cables, does it matter what kind or whatever. I will probably end up buying thw wiring separately since I already have enough speaker wire.

Don't go cheap on the wire and the RCAs... Go with an ANL fuse, 100amp ANL fuse minimum for 600-800RMS, 150 ANL for 800-1000 RMS. Components and Coaxials need more power to play a broaded dynamic range. They can play all day with clean power. I pushed my Focal 5.25"s with 125 RMS, which is double the power and they were amazing... You will lose more power with a cheaper fuse at the battery....
