I am gonna hook up my head unit in my 04 Monte Carlo pretty soon, I just need to get my install kit in (ordered today) and get the harnesses I need. I was told by a rep at PAC that all I'd need is the C2RGM24, however, she said that this is to use the factory amp. I don't want to use that because it's wired to run at 2ohms so I need to run my interior speakers off the head unit until my HiFonics amps arrive.
Anyone ever done an install on a late model Monte? Did the lady know what she was talking about and is there another harness I can get that will bypass the factory amp or does it need to be done manually? Anybody know how to do it manually?

BTW, my system is non-bose, non-onstar, factory amplified double din am/fm cd player, no steering wheel controls.
