okay, so the guy who wired my subs, said that if i wired the 2 DUAL 4ohm speakers directly to a 2 channel amp , that it would produce an 8ohm load, is that true??

he wired my subs down to 2ohm and wired them in series, and said that the amp, would give me a 4ohm load. because 2ohm+2ohm= 4ohm LOAD is that true??

the subs specification are Dual 4ohm, and 400rms.

the amp is 2x200 rms at 4ohm , 2x400rms at 4ohm, 1x800rms at 4ohm bridged 2x300rms at 2ohm

well the guy that wired my thing said he set the 4ohm subs down to 2ohm and bridged them, i'm confused
FWIW - you don't bridge subs, you bridge amps.

However - if he wired each subs' coils in parallel for two ohms, then the subs in series for a total resistance of 4 ohms, and bridged the amp - it's set up the way it should be.

okay he did exactly that, so they are indeed getting 400rms each sub, the recomended by the premier subs manual. i was just worried because i posted some videos on youtube and they said they were underpowered

Oh - your amp -- It's WAY WAAAY too small for any good pair of 12's. All of Lanzar's non-Optidrive amps market their max power ratings which tell you NOTHING about what the amp can actually do.

You need to look at the RMS ratings on cheap amps. If you can't find them there's probably a reason. The Vibe 226 produces 160w. You would need the 276 or 286 to wake those subs up. However, if you're going to consider an amp upgrade I would suggest a good quality class D mono amp that does 800-1000w at 1 ohm. The Lanzar Optidrive 1400D is a quality amp for around $200, but there are many other good options.

yeah, i guess i should of asked on to what kind and how big my amp should of been before buying this vibe226 , i looked into this http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=14078

seems like it gots good reviews, but i have a limited budget, can u point me towards a good amp that will wake up my subs? but that wont hurt my wallet?

is this one that u were reffering to? http://www.caraudiodeals.com/lanzar-vibe286-channel-4000w-viberant-mosfet-amplifier-p-370.html

the thing is that i dont want to blow up my subs, that are rated at 400rms and are dvc 4ohm, i currently have the Vibe 226 bridged in series its supposed to divide 800 wts
