8 ohm wiring

What kind of amp are we talking about?

Are we talking about a monoblock that outputs 175w X 1 @ 4 Ohms?

If that is the case then wire the two subs in parallel like you've discussed which will yield you a 4 Ohm nominal load.

You'll be giving 175w collectively to a pair of subs that call for 200w.

That 25w deficit wouldn't create an audible difference.

You ought to be good. (this is all assuming the amp you were talking about does output that 175w into 1 channel @ 4 Ohms, however....if this isn't the case then disregard my entire post //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif)

You can set the gain on your amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

SQRT(Target Watts x Speaker Ohms)=Volts you want to see at the amp terminals

Example SQRT (800w x 1ohm)= SQRT(800)=28.28v

This is an example for my sub, so I want to see 28.28v between the positive and negative speaker terminals on my sub amp
