Is this setup possible with my DEH-880PRS?

Hello.

I have a 880prs, and i just got a 4 channel amp.

I was wondering if i could use channels 1 and 2 of the amp to power my front speakers, bridge channels 3 and 4 to run my sub, AND use my headunit to power my rear speakers.

Is the head unit capable of running the RCA outs for the Front speaker and the sub, along with powering the rear speakers?

If so, will I retain the internal functions of the head unit for the rear speakers, like fading fowards and backwards, built in high pass filter, etc?

Thanks so much for your help.

Yes, you can run the rears of the head unit amp and the remaider as above. Personally I would run the front and rear of off the four channel and buy a sub amp.

Brad,

Thats my ultimate goal, i'm poor right now. lol.

However, I am wiring everything now, so when i do get the money to get a mono amp, i can plug it right in.

Thanks for the confirmation.

As long as channels 3 and 4 have a seperate gain and crossover which it should you would be ok. But take note that if you do this if you want your subwoofer options on the HU to work make sure you use the subwoofer RCA for channel3 and 4 and use the front RCA for channels 1 and 2

Are you planning on running the deck in standard mode or network mode?? I'm wondering if the internal amps even work in network mode.
Im running it in NW and I have the option to turn the internal fan off or on.
