ok i want to add a second battery(yellow top) in the trunk but i was thinking if this could work it would be cool...i have 2 questions.

1.can i put a 2nd battery in the trunk connect my amps to it. and run my 4ga. power wire thats already ran form the my 1st batt to my second Batery? to keep it powered up?

2.or should i just put a 2nd Battery in the trunk w/o conecting it to the 1st battery and just recharge it when it get low?how long do they usally last at a moderate volume?

Agreed, I'd use 1/0 between the two batteries though...and fuse it with like a 300amp fuse. Also, ground the rear battery in a nice BARE METAL (paint scraped away) place with 1/0 as well.

Talk to johnecon, he can sell you the right materials to do this...at a great price //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif.

LOL no need to fuse the wire with one fuse, cause you'll still have power on both sides if the fuse blows. The proper way is to fuse 18" after the first and 18" before the second battery (2 fuses total). You really need a gauge large enough to handle the current your alternator can supply, but agree that 1/0 is perferred for this application.
