Does it do its rated 1200 at 1 ohm? Does class a/b "topology" have any advantages?

Ive got the money and was going to buy the Diamond d3 1000.1 but there are none for sale on ebay at the moment and I cannot find anywhere else to buy them

All mb quart amps are very solid and do their rated output. The A/B topolgy is arguably better sound quality than the Class D but horribly less effecient.

I wouldn't say horribly less efficient... most of the ones I've seen have been in the 55-65% range, where Class D seems to be 80-90%... it's a marked difference, but not "horrible".

Just a matter of perspective, I think. Notice my boldified and underlined word lol. I can't tell a difference and I have a pretty discerning ear, but I also haven't used any REALLY crappy class d's either, all pretty decent ones. And that is still a pretty big difference in efficiency. For most applications you are lookin at like 20-30 amps difference. Jeez my little 80 amp toyota alternator already screams with a 4ch and a class d, throw another 30amps at it and it would jump through the firewall and punch me in the nuts.
