I got that Jeep thing
ok gots me a jeep cherOkee!(yeah yeah junk i know) meanwhile i jus got my new shizzat in a week or so ago and decided to whip out the dmm to see the voltage drop. im runnin 4 12" polk momo's and 2 kicker 750.1 (birth sheets state 928 and 936) gots a stock alt(from a grand cherokee((105 amp vs my factory 90 amp) soon to do one from a durango(136amp!)(yeah im broke and 45 at the junk yard beats 650 for a nice 2-300 amp!)) any who its cold as balls out side so i was in a hurry today when i did the test turned it up for what i would do if competing but i jus kept it at idle to do the test also forgot to see what the volts was before i did a load test, with it all cranked to where i wanted it playing lil jon push that n**** i dropped to 13.8 volts, ive had my jeep for 5 years never changed the batt but its an autocraft(i think thats the generic auto store brand) but its the titanium(so he top of line junk //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif) do i need another bat, or is this an acceptable voltage drop! and being 20 some degrees would that make a difference and i didnt let the motor even warm up i did the test in about 5-10 mins(ran out turned on took reading got the hell inside) any way let me know how bad im at right now and give some recomendations to get this thing at the 14.4 that the kickers should have!
