Is this cap gonna do anything?

I got a die hard automotive up front with 1/0 leading to my trunk feeding an Optima Yellow Top. The yellow top will be running a modded mtx1501d for 2 DA D6 12's and a Profile CA600 running a set of Cadence comps up front. I have (layin around in my garage) a stinger 1.0 farad cap that i was thinking about hooking up in line between the yellow top and the 1501d. The 1501d is gonna put about prolly 1700-2000w @1ohm. Will this have any effect at all? Like i mean is there a purpose at all in me using a cap? I just thought since i already had it that it wouldnt hurt to use it, the only thing id have to pay for is a couple terminal rings for the wiring to fit on the cap.

Capacitors dont do very much ... if you've got the battery in the trunk, then you're all set.
The cap would be another source for a quick 1000w though right? Even if it helps a little I think ill use it. I just wanna know what its gonna do exactly.

Create an additional, unnecessary load on your electrical system. And no, it won't give you any watts. A cap stores power, it does not create it.
