Is this amp a good match for two type-R's??

Doesn't look like there's a manual available on line for that amp.Personally I would have recommended the dvc 2 type R's with the 1005 - that would give you the option to wire a 2 ohm load which would have given you 500w+ for each sub.

With that 2400 -- It's a basic 2 ch bridgable to 4 ohms, right? I would wire them together for 4 ohms and bridge the amp. Slightly preferable to each sub at 2 ohms on its own channel.

Too bad there's not a manual available for it on line.

what model type r though? 06? the one in your avatar (old type r's with that smooth surround) can't take as much abuse.

yea you can definitely run at least 1000watts to each type R, i have two type r's powered by a zx1500 and they can take all the power really well

The DV 4ohm R's can not be wired parallel on one amp for 2ohms.

You can either have a single R for 2ohms or 8ohms on one amp, Or Two on one amp for 4ohms.
