Is this a proper repair for a torn sub?

There is a local guy selling a pair of e10's but one is torn and repaired by the previous owner. I don't know if the repair is legit or not. I don't care that it's ugly, I would downfire it anyway so it won't be seen. He doesn't have a box to show they work unfortunately. What do y'all think?

Cause that sub looks fucked
That's what I was thinking. It's a pair of E10's and a 1500 watt audiofonics amp for $140. I was kind of leery about the condition of everything anyway, and this help makes up my mind. Whatever they did to that sub didn't look right to me, just wanted to make sure.

Hell, here's the ad, it seems like a good deal if everything works right, but I doubt that's the case.

Did that guy use spackling paste? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

even if it plays there's probably slight to moderate coil damage and the structural integrity of the surround has been compromised. You wont get near the performance It normally should provide.
