Is this a decent compressor?

alrite so basically if someone whose lookin to buy a compressor just to break stubborn bolts, he should go for higher PSI 120+, meaning bigger tanks?

HF has a 21 gallon on sale for $149 right now. I'm going tmw to pick one up. And I don't wanna hear shit about HF compressors. My step-dad bought a Central Pneumatics compressors several years ago, and he uses it on my parents ranch all the time. That thing takes a beating, and has been a great investment for him. Besides, once I get a 220v plug in the garage, I'll be using my 150gal...

larger tank doesn't mean more PSI. you can have a 3gallon tank with 120 psi and a 500 gallon tank with 120 psi. bigger tank just means more air not more pressure.

yeah i got a buddy over here who bought his jack for $150 from HF.....and its still working 13 yrs later.

you're confusin me man.
oh very sorry. meant doesn't for both of those. i make that typo a lot.

think of it this way. you have a tire right? doesn't matter how big it is you can fill it up to 12psi or fill it up to 30 psi. all that matters is how much air is put into it. the more air forced in the small area the more PRESSURE you get. you can get 40 psi in a small car tire and 30 psi in a huge tractor tire. only differnce between it would be that the tractor tire needs more air in order to reach that 30 psi because there is more room.

looks like a good buy. i think that might be something where the psi guage reads 125 but it acually won't fill up passed 95. but try it. remember to keep it oiled ^^. ask him to take a picture of the gauge when it is full. don't tell him what you need it to be at. just say you wanna make sure it reachs 90 or something.
