My buddy has a sony amp. While it says 1200 watts I would say it might be close to rated. The problem is you can fry an egg on it in like 2 minutes, and shuts off.

my friend has a sony explode 2 x 150 with little Mobile ES emblem on it. I would venture to saythe 1200 watts is a peak rating much like the 600 watts is a peak rating on his amp. It is as solid 150x2 amplifier I have installed if going off 1 thing and 1 thing only amplifying. It was 6 or 7 years old when he got it (used) and still works well today. Is it god's gift? no but at the time I would venture to say it was right up with every other amp in its retail price bracket.

I told the buddy of mine to give me the model number and he just brought the amp over so i can see it. But the amp ended up being a imitation sony amp. The model nuber that i gave is what sais on the amp. He sais his brother in lawl gave him the amp for free and since he had no need for it, he was going to sell it for cheap not knowing it was a imitaion

So now cookie cutter Korean amps are the crem della crem of amplifiers? All you need is enough //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/greedy.gif.5a53e6246569d7ab79867170f3b06629.gif to meet the minimum order requirements and you could have your own "really good product" with your own name on it.

As for Sony.....they know a thing or two about really good products also, even if their current product lineup isn't top shelf

I would run my sony cd player up against anything that has been out or that is out currently, I might like something a little better but it crushes most everything STILL...I will also say Sony has spent more on R&D than all those companies combined + their build house. hey do't put out ultra high end now no because they can't or don't know how..they don't because of the markets.

You know what's funny. I actually spelled it like that originally, but wasn't sure if it was correct so I quickly typed "creme de" into google and the spelling I used happened to be the first "suggestion" it gave me.....so I used it.
