Is this a decent amp for running Alpine SPX-17Ref components?

I have a set of Alpine SPX-17REF components that I need to power. Would the Alpine MRP-F250 be a decent amp to power these speakers. I am assuming that you would bridge the amp down to 2-channels to power the speakers, correct?

Its a 4 channel amp so it provides:

100 watts RMS x 2 bridged output at 4 ohms (4-ohm stable in bridged mode)

Depends on how much you're paying for it. You could also just buy a 2 channel amp not concern yourself with bridging a 4 channel since you're only pushing one set of speakers.

The stereo is going in my restored 1965 Mustang. The mrp-f250 has the raised brushed metal "fins" on it. This style matches exactly with the valve covers and air cleaner on the engine. I want to have that look from the engine compartment flow into the trunk. This is why I am looking at this series of Alpine amps. I know it sounds dumb but the look of the amps is important to me since the car will be shown at car shows often. As far as I can tell, Alpine doesn't make a 2-channel amp.

Those gen Mustangs are the only ones I really care for. That is one smexy car there man! I raced one the other night.

Also, in the case of the amp, if you like the look and it flows with the car they way you like then I say get it. Alpine makes solid equipment and I think that will be adequate power for those speakers.

I think that the Digital Designs C1b might fit the bill. It is a better amp overall, and I think matches the car's style more.

A little sanding on the fins would be easy if you wanted bare metal on those.
