Question # 1: what is the yellow cylinder on the back of the speaker?bass blocker?

Question #2: has anyone ever owned/heard these?

looks like a memphis audio power reference series..not sure what year or what the specs are on this...just looking for some info.

I have the 4" models of those, pretty nice and sound good.

That little yellow thing is a capacitor, which acts as a highpass filter.

And Memphis makes good equipment. Should be a good speaker.
