Is this 3200 rms sub on craigslist a good deal?

that sub actually has a pretty small motor to be shoving around such a heavy suspension. personally i wouldnt mess with it. also dont dick around with multiple sub sizes. its really not worth it.
Im also calling BS on the mini hair trick with that setup...
point taken and i have no way to answer that bs call with a video until I's gets mes a smarts phones or camcorder and maybe complete my setup while i'm at it. well i can probably just show you the fluttering but u'll have to wait a couple of paydays till i get my amps in for the rest of the trick.

Seriously though, its not like i'm spending anymore money, i'm just working with what equipment I currently have while saving for 3 or 4 decent 12s or hell, maybe a better car suited for bass? I'm not advocating multiple size usage, it'll probably sound like **** to SQheads but it doesn't sound like its the end of the world either. Needless to say, its just a temporary setup for 8 months to a year until the next setup.

mixing subs and/or sizes. = nice muddy bass. A Noob's dreamboat. Sail away. sigh.

far from dreamboat man, i already listed my dreamboat setups/brands above.
wasn't clarifying you a " noob " either but ok. Was saying they don't know a difference when they mix subs and/or sizes. it all sounds the same to them because they just want to show off to their friends and likely don't have electrical, proper mids/highs and are clipping out the ***.

When it comes down to it, its mostly counter productive to throw multiple driver sizes/setups together. Enjoy the cancellations and that lovely bass quality

Some people just don't listen and never learn. i am sure to the OP it will sound great. How many watts are the 10's going to get and how many watts is the 15 going to get? I understand it's what you have but that doesnt mean you have to use them all cause you have them. Sell the two 10's and the 15 and get a proper set up. Willing to bet you don't listen to anyone on here but it's ok, it's your set up and as long as you like it, that's all that matters. there used to be a guy on here will JL audio equipment and he ran different size subs and argued with everyone (i believe his name was cot jones. You can do a serach) after a while he listened and was much happier with the same size subs. Are you perhaps related to him? Wow

wow you pulling that veteran grandpa: "just dont listen and never learn" sh1t out on me already? did you even bother reading anything besides jumping straight on the "lets bash this fool" train. For the power, its going one 2.2k rms amp on the 15 and a separate 2.2k amp on the dual 10s and for the record I never said it sounds great, i just said it "got along" which meant there wasn't as much muddiness or cancellation that i was expecting. Yes compared to same size subwoofer setups, it'll look and sound horrible in comparison. and if i cant get it to sound bearable by playing around with the 10's aeroport tuning to match the 15s, along with positioning and amp HPF/LPS settings, then i'll revert back to only using the one 15.

I'm sure you can see where i'm comming from when i say I dont want to drop money on new woofers unless they are amazing woofers like the higher line IA/SSA/SQ/AA i've listed, i dont want to waste anymore money to get more mid-level subs right now and end up switching them out for my endgame subs later on. If i sell my all my stuff right now, i wouldnt be able to afford jack **** let alone a proper setup thats louder than the one i currently have. Id rather just save up for a proper setup and get it all done right later one in one swoop.

If running multiple sized subs make you happy, I say go for it.

Car audio is a hobby that you should enjoy.

If you enjoy it and are happy with different size subs, by all means go for it.

By the end of the day, it's you (OP) that's listening to your system and who rides with you.

I personally wouldn't do it, but if it makes you happy go for it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
