if your sticking the leads of the DMM to the coil through the holes in motor, you will have to give it a real good hard push, dont worry about hurting or puncturing the voice coil, the only thing that can damage it is a clipped signal and its glued in there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifi was actually referring more to the tinsel leads. the multimeter was a reference. i'm having a problem with something in my system and i'm trying to find out what it is. Also, there is no reading when i touch the leads of the multimeter to the voice coil.
okay, i was just touching them. Are the leads not supposed to be touching the spider? on my last sub the leads were woven through the spider, is that just to reduce tinsel slap?if your sticking the leads of the DMM to the coil through the holes in motor, you will have to give it a real good hard push, dont worry about hurting or puncturing the voice coil, the only thing that can damage it is a clipped signal and its glued in there //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
