Is there really such a thing as SQ subs?

Cant really recommend something that i havent heard, yes i have it, but waiting on my box to be built. But from the videos i seen, i am sure the FI Q will perform much better than an ED sub. But i am still saying, ED subs are pretty **** awesome.

And i did recommend FI because i am not just an ED fan, but i love Sundown amps, FI, RE, IA, but i cant have it all. And i did own a ED sub so i can say my opinion about it.

But one thing i will say, and i agree, that ED is not perfect. I bought some spacers, for my RSX, and they did not fit. Then i called and they said it needs a little modification, so i trimmed the edges, and it still does not fit. So i am having my dad basically cut some more so so they can fit.

That did piss me off, but its only one thing, but see Audioholic, i am not short sighted lol.

So I see no reason why we try and help keep Ben in business by suggesting people purchase from him. Im confident by now we can both agree Ben is a sheister.
Does eD offer some products I think look interesting? Sure. Buty each and every one of those products... I can find elsewhere, basically the same thing, for basically the same money. If they offered some magical moofer that nobody else had, I could see looking past the sheister's business ethics and still purchase from him (not saying I would, but it would be more understandbe)... but they simply offer nothing out of the ordinary... except their lousy business practices.

If some of you think headphones can reproduce 20hz with authority, Im curious what you think 'with authority' means. Or, maybe you were too busy being all hot and defensive over yout $15 headphones to fully think through the topic.

The funniest part is, we aren't even talking about around or over the ear headphones, we are discussing the cheapest style of head phones made... in-ear. I'm nothing but content with my Westone UM2's(dual driver). They play low frequencies well (best I've heard in an in-ear), but I wouldn't say "with authority".

On the contrary, the low end response greatly improves with custom molds. The term "with authority" kinda bothers me in the sense that it sounds like an SPL thing. I don't think SPL is in mind when listening to music through headphones/in ears. It's almost like the point is moot.

anyhow, since we're off topic anyways...

I find it funny how the types of systems people have can cause them to play songs that they might now normally listen to. For example, many people will listen to songs like hoods run down or other songs listed in the bass track thread, just because of their likings for SPL.

On the other hand, people with SQ oriented systems might find themselves listening to stuff from the iasca disc or Norah Jones or whatever.

I guess it's the love for what our speakers can do.
