Why not buy an amp that does the power you want at 2 ohms?

.5 ohm is stupid for daily imo

the impedance load doesnt matter... if an amp can handle it, why not do it? besides, its much easier to find power at .5 ohm than it is at 2 ohms. years ago people thought 1 ohm was too low for daily, doesnt mean it was stupid... just that it was lower than most amps were capable of.
I agree, there is NO NEED to run at .5 ohm, if you can run safer at 2 ohm, daily...............you may see more power at .5 ohm, but a ton more related isses, running it that low. Is it worth it? User defined.this comment is very stupid imo.

not to mention, draw a ton more current...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
because low ohm loads increase the heat going through the sub, which increases impedance rise therin changing the woofers parameters negating any reason for modeling a box up... Then even if its a negligible amount it'll see far more current(heat) @ .5 than @ 2 ohms(see ohms law) which would make it harder on the woofer.
for sure, most amps are less efficient at lower ohm loads and more touchy to voltage drops..not to mention, draw a ton more current...
yep...then speakers goes BOOM....and not to good BOOM we want //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.giffor sure, most amps are less efficient at lower ohm loads and more touchy to voltage drops..

it can happen //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif people can agree, and disagree.....that's why God made us individuals //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif****, we actually agree on something...
.5 ohm is not good for any situation other than getting every last drop of power from an amp, which is probably about to go "poof" at that point.
