Is there amps that are .5 ohm stable?

Im thinking of for now running d1 at 2 ohms on a 1000wrms amp till I get another car and upgrade wiring and get batts. But when I get all that I want to know if running a half ohm is possible, and what amps are like that? Dont people mod amps to do this?

Some run like that normally. Current draw is much though. Like the AB VFL's, run down to .5ohm daily

Sundown SAZ-1500, we're running one at .5 daily. But we have the electrical to back it up. Interstate 1000CCA under the hood, 160a alt, 2 runs of 1/0, and 2 BatCap 800's in back. If you don't have the electrical to support .5ohm, I wouldn't reccomend it.

there are lots of them around, just current hogs as ev1 has mentioned. designed mostly for competing. sadly all the power classes have now dissapeared from comps. my personal favorite was the 100w class. now its 600 and 601+ i believe.

Yeah im going to hopefully sell this shitty van, aint no use into putting money into something thats going to fall apart. And its hard as hell to put an alt in a astro van. But when I get a new car good on gas, Ill upgrade everything to run it at .5
