Is there a difference in d-block location??

Ok I have 2 peices of 0 gauge. Neither will reach my trunk where the amps are. Is there a difference if the distribution block is mid-car? I plan to have two 4 gauge wires from the d-block to each 1000w (peak) amp. I don't see why it would matter, but I'm a noob so any advice would be great. Or should I run a 4 gauge from the battery to a d-block and 8 gauge to each amp? They are sony xm-zr1850's pushing kicker cvr 12's 400rms 800 peak

Cable gauge chart

You need thicker cable for longer lengths, bigger the less resistance

So yes it will Make a difference but with a low power amp I don't think it will make a big difference. Make shore you fuse for the wire gauge at the beginning of wire then fuse for amp at end of wire within 18"

Do your research don't burn your @@@@

If they were more powerful amps that would stress the longer run of 4 ga it could be an issue, but with those amps you're fine.

Even 4 split to 8 would be fine. They're only 400w rms.
