is there a difference between DVC 4 ohms and DVC 2 ohms?

I am planning on buying an IDQ v.3 12 inch but i do not know if there is a difference between DVC 4 ohms and DVC 2 ohms. I will be powering the sub with an alpine pdx 1.600 that puts out 600 rms at both 2 and 4 ohms. Im leaning towards the DVC 4 ohms because of its resell value i guess. More people have amps that pushes out 600 rms at 2 ohms then they do at 4 ohms. But is there a significant difference between DVC @ 4 ohms and DVC 2 @ 2 ohms?

Load down options. AKA- wireing options to obtain a lower overall impedance.

Dual 2's seem to be selling more then dual 4's actually.

What amp you have and waht power it gives at given load...

If you have an amp thats rated at 1000watt@1ohm and ur looking for sub that needs that kinda power then get a D2 to wire down to 1ohm.

the amp i have does 600 rms at both 2 and 4 ohms. so i could either go with an IDQ D4 or a D2. just cant decide which one to go with. i was wondering if there are any diferences between a D4 and D2

if that amp truely puts out 600 rms at 2 and 4 ohm then it does not matter which one you buy.

do you know the differences huh? i thought there were other differences rather than the wiring options between a D4 and a D2.
