12" or 15" RE SE

I've got two questions, in a small SUV like a ford escape, is sub back port back the best, or iv heard some people say sub up port back? Also, I've got two pioneer 10s now, I wanna get 1 RE SE sub. Only thing im worried about is box size. I can do 2 cubes for a 12 no prob, but 4 for the 15 might be pushin it. How loud would 1 12" RE SE be off 850 watts in a proper box tuned around 32 hz. Would it be louder than my two 10s? Thanks

chance are it will be a little bit louder, but you would find it it will certainly lower and cleaner than that of the dual 10".

if you are after output, you maybe better off looking at getting a RE SR 12 they are louder than that of the SE.

Or at least this is the info i can find around on the internet. As i myself am trying to figure out if dual SR or Dual SE 10" to go.

Will there be much of a difference between output of the 12" and the 15"? I'm not into competitions, but like to mess with my friends. Any guesstimate on Db numbers or how far away you can hear it from?

You serious?! Wow, I might have to fit it then lol. We just like to have fun and mess with each other, i might have to seriously watch for cops too. Thanks a ton!

why dont you go measure your car and going from a 12" to a 15" will get you around 3dbs more

a 10db gain is considered sounding twice as loud
