Is the Hifonics BXi2008 over or under rated??????

meh it doesnt matter, i always plan to over power. truth is that specs are at perfect sitautions, precisly 14.4 14.7 volts blah blah blah....

and ohms are never exact either. So..... over power!

cause it friend keeps swearing up and down that they are very overrated. But he has a rf 1000 so he is gay. Harharhar
bahahahaha, i need 2400 watts rms for my new setup sooo... i will be looking for amps that will do 3k+ at the ohms i need. so, even if the amp is overrrated, hell its right at RMS.

i have one and i think it is a good amp for the money. i bought it to plan for only 1500 RMS so as long as i get that much out of it im happy. i think with good voltage you will get pretty close to 2k out of it.

The bxi2008 is not over rated. It does rated at 14.4 volts. I own one, but my electrical keeps above 14 almost all the time, so I probably have a lot better luck with them than some people.

I got it to put out 44.7 VAC at half gain on a flat eq.

Take a look at the aq 2200, similar board with a few extra caps. Like I said before I think the reason they're getting called over-rated is because as a budget amp people without beefy electrical are buying them and not getting their full potential.

I think they're one of the better "for the money" amps

Look a the guy who tested and reviewed his bxi 2608ds on here not too long ago.... the amps were fully capable of rated. As is mine. Eventually I will do more thorough testing.

Just remember, you're not gonna get exactly 2000 without a nice electrical.

Another thing is, I can play my amp at full tilt for an hour and the aluminum heatsink is still cold to the touch. We will see in the future as far as reliability goes.

my bxi2607 does rated. I run it at 2 ohms (rated 1700rms), but I hooked up a friends kx1500.1 once and the bxi was louder if anything, and I only have a single yellowtop, 60 amp alt, voltage dips into low 12's

Very nice budget amps that will do rated with proper electrical. I didn't expect it to be as loud as my AQ2200D but it was very very close in audible loudness. Great budget amps

I say upgrade the front battery, put a battery in the back, do the big three and use 1/0 wiring for any amp 1500 +

thats with any size alternator.

That right there is a good base for your electrical.
