Is "turn on POP" caused by amp or head unit ?

I bought and installed the same exact headunit yesterday. I get the same pop sound from subs kickin on...

I think it's normal as long as yours isnt a humming sound.

Just wondering did you notice a loss in output from your amplifier to your subs? seems like my subs were louder off the stock stereo.

adjust your settings properly on your HU

you have a bad ground somewhere start with amp and then head unit

I have checked all my grounds.. all look good contact and have a direct path back to the battery ground.

Battery is grounded to Body/Chassis

Battery is grounded to Frame

Battery is grounded to Engine Block

Frame is grounded to Body/Chassis

Frame is grounded to Engine Block

Engine Block is grounded to Body/Chassis

Head unit is grounded to Chassis at kick panel

Amp is grounded to Body/Chassis and passes through directly to Frame

Remote wire signal is coming from Accessory wire under dash

There's not much to change on this H/U

What specifically should i check?

HPF is 80hz

Loud = off

Bass/Treble all adjusted

Subwoofer = 15/15

My grounds seem to be fine also, not sure why were having the same problem with the same H/u

Are you using some sort of Remote turn on relay?

I noticed with Alpine decks if you do not use the given Remote Turn on lead from the deck it will pop when turning on.

I thought my 9857 was bad since I was testing an amp out with a hot remote lead from the power supply but after using the one from the deck I never heard that pop when turning it off and on.

The given remote turn on lead was used in my install. Still pops
