Boot up in safe mode and see if you get the same error.

Boot into safe mode with networking and go to http://www.nvidia.com and download the newest driver for your device.

Install it and restart normally.

Mine says 3. I downloaded the RC so I'll probably be reloading in a day or 2.
really? Mine was the beta, I'm downloading the rc as we speak because I thought it was valid for longer. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

I could sworn it said it was good through August 2009 but I'm not worried about it.

Sounds like a corrupted video driver. Go to your manufacturers website and download the latest video driver. Install, then dance.

What am I just typing into air here?

Hey guys well now everytime I turn my computer, the screen fades out from a black normal screen bootup to fading to a greyish and black distorted color then shuts off again. Now I can't see anything at all. Try restarting then it does the same. Screen goes distorted turns from black to grey then off again. I had an issue with the driver and it was doing the same thing but it would actually stay on at least for q while. The error I got was on page one I believe nv. I think. I'm on my phone now so could anyone tell me what happened? Did the driver finally go out? Or has anyone had this issue before. Oh and after I updated the drive that someone in this thread told me to do it worked for a bit but then I got the blue screen again. So I'm assuming it's on it's last leg then but with it not turnng on now without yhe f'd up screen going crazy I'm assuming it's dead?

lol at the responses in this thread....

your issue is the screen itself. either replace it or get yourself a bag clip. pinch the screen with your thumb and index finger around the edge to find the magic spot and then put the clip at that spot. I will put a vid up when I get home monday if you have not figured this out yet as my ladyfriend's machine started doing this about a year ago. we do not want to replace the screen, but replace the machine and don't yet have the money to get her a new one.

Well that was my first thought. But I used a s video cable to hook it up to my tv and the same thi g happened. And I got the LCD replaced under warranty like 6 months ago. So that's brand new //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
